We are honored to share that Mr. Devendra Kshirsagar, Director of the Sahyadri Foundation, Nagpur, has received a prestigious Letter of Appreciation from Hon’ble Dr. Ravindra Kumar Singal, Police Commissioner of Nagpur. This commendation recognizes the Sahyadri Foundation’s unwavering commitment to rehabilitating homeless and destitute individuals in collaboration with the Nagpur Police Department and Nagpur Municipal Corporation.
From June 2nd to June 5th, 2024, the foundation conducted a major rehabilitation drive across Cotton Market, Akashwani Square, and RBI Square, rescuing 30 individuals (26 men and 4 women) and providing them shelter at Aastha Beggars Rehabilitation Shelter Home, Ghat Road, Nagpur.
This initiative was launched in response to the extreme heatwave conditions during Navtapa, with temperatures soaring above 45°C. The compassionate intervention by our team has undoubtedly saved lives, offering urgent relief and dignity to the most vulnerable members of our society.
